Cuc Phuong National Park
Ninh Binh boasts Cuc Phuong National Park, the largest & first national park of Vietnam, and one of the most important sites for biodiversity within the country. It is home to hundreds of species of flora and fauna. Inhabitants of the park include 97 species of mammals, most notably the endangered langurs; 300 species of birds; 36 reptilian species; 17 species of amphibians; 11 species of fish; 2,000 species of vascular plants, and thousands of species of insects, most of which do not bite. A number of species in the park are listed in the Vietnam Red Book of endangered species.
Exploration of Cuc Phuong's many limestone caves makes a rewarding excursion. The caves include Thang Khuyet Cave, Con Moong Cave, Pho Ma Cave, Nguoi Xua Cave, and the Cave of Prehistoric Man (Dong Nguoi Xua). The Botanical Garden located near the park’s headquarters is a good place to take a stroll and get an introduction to the region’s flora. Early in the morning, you can hear birds singing, accompanied by perhaps a gibbon or two. The Endangered Primate Rescue Center is an important rehabilitation center for Vietnam's critically endangered and majestic primates. Langurs, lorises, and gibbon species are housed at the center and include the critically endangered Delacour's Langur, Golden-Headed Langur, Tonkin Snub-Nosed Monkey, and Black Crested Gibbon.
Tourists coming to Ninh Binh are mostly eager to pay a visit to Cuc Phuong for exploring a pure ecological space of the locality!

ITINERARY
Day 1: Hoa Lu – Tam Coc – Mua cave (Lunch, Dinner)
07:30 – 8h00 Get picked up by our friendly guide, then depart for Ninh Binh Province. Pick-up time depends on the location of tourists in Hanoi Old Quarter/Opera House.
09:15 Have a short break for 15 – 20 minutes to relax.
10:15 Visit Hoa Lu, the ancient capital of Vietnam between 968 and 1010. You have a chance to learn about Vietnamese history in the feudal system under the Dinh, Le, and Ly Dynasty. Then, we'll go cycling around the village for sightseeing & discovering the life of the local people.
12:00 Have the buffet lunch at Ninh Binh Restaurant designed with 5 stars-style with many local food options such as goat meat, spring rolls, fish, chicken, fried rice & vegetable salad. Vegetarian foods are always available in the buffet lunch.
13:30 Visit Tam Coc by 1.5-hour bamboo boat. You will be surprised by the charming beauty here with paddy fields, river, water, clouds, sky, and a stunning cave system during the boat trip. All make a masterpiece that Vietnamese people call “Ha Long Bay on land”
15:30 Get back to the Limousine Bus, then leave for Mua Cave (Dragon Peak). Walk up almost 500 steps, and you can reach the top of Lying Dragon Mountain & have an amazing panoramic view of Tam Coc. Besides, you can breathe fresh air at the very beautiful lotus paddy field nearby, especially in the summertime.
Next, Drive to Tam Coc and overnight at Chez Loan Bungalow or Hidden Charm Hotel & Resort.
Evening: Have dinner at Chez Loan Bungalow or Hidden Charm Hotel & Resort.
Day 2: Cuc Phuong National Park (Lunch)
In the morning: Have breakfast at Hotel/ Bungalow then check out and be ready for the trip to visit Cuc Phuong National Park

10:30 We will firstly visit the Endangered Primate Rescue Centre - a non-profit organization dedicated to the rehabilitation, breeding, research, and conservation of endangered primates, and to the protection of their habitats
12:00 Have lunch in the restaurant with the local foods.., Vegan/Vegetarian foods are available
Continue taking a short trek into the National Park for sightseeing and learn more about the fauna and flora in this oldest forest of Vietnam. Back to the Park Centre visit the “Cave of Early Man”.
Next, get on the bus to return to Hanoi.
